WHY WE GIVE

Paul summed up giving this way:
“He who sows sparingly shall also reap sparingly; and he who sows bountifully shall also reap bountifully. Let each one do just as he has purposed in his heart; not grudgingly or under compulsion; for God loves a cheerful giver!” (2 Cor 9:6-7)
In the well-known story from the temple treasury, Jesus praised not the one who gave the most, but the the one who gave the most sacrificially.
“Truly I say to you, this poor widow put in more than all the contributors to the treasury; for they all put in out of their surplus, but she, out of her poverty, put in all she owned, all she had to live on.” (Mark 12:43-44)
God blesses those who do not cling to money and earthly possessions, but are generous with what God has given them!

Giving is a step of faith, trusting God to take care of us. There are many ways to give; one of the most exciting today is online giving. When you participate in online giving, you decide in advance to faithfully give. God always blesses that kind of faith!

WAYS TO GIVE

We encourage you to support missionaries directly and regularly. The work of Crossroad Bible Church also depends on regular giving. We do not pass a plate, but if you wish to give to support the ministries of the church there is a slot at the coffee bar that may be used. It is also easy to give electronically.

You can also give through text. Text CBC $50 [or whatever amount you wish to give] to 73256 to give to the General Fund. Standard text message rates do apply.
